GETBEAUTIFUL SKIN FROM YOUR SLEEP

9 TIPS FOR BETTER BEAUTY SLEEP

Right before bed is one of the most important times to take care of your skin. When we sleep, our muscles recover, and our brain is refreshed. In fact, every cell in our body heals during sleep, and the cells in our facial skin are no exception. That's why it's incredibly important to properly prepare your facial skin for the place where you spend a third of your life - in bed. In this blog post, we'll go through 9 concrete tips that you can use to wake up looking and feeling more beautiful every day.

By practicing effective skincare on a daily basis before your well-deserved beauty sleep, you can expect a more beautiful and vibrant daily glow and skin that stays young, beautiful, and supple for significantly longer. It's not just about using the right products, but also about maintaining your skin consistently on a daily basis. Taking the time to do this is something you won’t regret. Here are our best concrete tips on how to easily bring beauty and health into your beauty sleep.

TAKE CAREOF YOUR SKIN BEFORE BEDTIME

Whether you wear makeup or not, or if you suffer from acne or similar conditions, it's important to remember to cleanse your facial skin before bed. Cleansing helps to:

Purify pores: When you remove makeup, dead skin and sebum, your facial skin is finally able to breathe. For an effective cleanse with visible results, use MicroDerm once or twice a week.

Remove oil and sebum from the skin: Even if you have dry skin, you will have some natural oil build-up on your skin at the end of the day. If this isn't washed away, it can clog pores and lead to acne and pimples. Cleansing before bed ensures that this oil doesn't have time to cause problems during the night for you and your skin.

Prevent wrinkles: Not cleansing the skin can lead to premature ageing and the development of wrinkles as the skin loses its moisture and vibrancy over time.

Refresh your skin: and your mind. Your skin will look softer and cleaner after your nightly cleanse has removed the dirt from your skin. Plus, you'll feel fresher, cleaner, and more beautiful when you go to sleep. Unfortunately, despite the benefits, many of us lead such busy lives that we often neglect to cleanse our facial skin at theend of the day.

If we don't take care of our skin properly when we're young, we'll regret it later. However, it's never too late to start a proper skincare routine. But how can we
clean our skin properly when we don't have the time or money to buy a lot of expensive beauty products?

#1

Give yourself time

We often skip our nighttime routine for the simple reason that we're too tired after a hectic day. We recommend making your skincare a priority, despite traveling or getting home late. Once you know how long your skincare routine lasts, you should incorporate it into your evening routine. If your skincare lasts 10 minutes, turn off the TV and go to bed 10 minutes earlier. Your skin will thank you the next day - and in the long run.

#2

Use the right products

If you've ever wondered why there's a difference between day cream and night cream, it's because the skin is more permeable at night.

This means that the skin absorbs active ingredients more easily during the night than during the day, which is why the products you use before bedtime are so important.

However, the skin also loses a lot of fluid during the night. Therefore, we recommend using your most potent skincare products before bed and using a heavier face cream to lock in moisture. The lighter products should be used during the day.

If you are experiencing signs of ageing, we recommend CellCare Repair Creme+, which is specially designed to boost the skin's collagen production and natural regeneration ability.

#3

Give yourself a facial

As mentioned above, skin is more permeable during the evening and nighttime. Therefore, this is the perfect time to treat yourself to a facial mask or give yourself an effective microdermabrasion with steam and cell-regenerating cream using our Spa Package for only 169,95 EUR.

Get a better sleep routine with the spa package

THE SPA PACKAGE

Hot water on the facial skin helps to relax the skin and open the pores so they are more easily cleansed of dirt, sebum and bacteria. Steam, with its higher temperature, will work even better than hot water and will also relax you and leave you feeling great before bed. You can benefit from using our Nano-Ionic Facial Steamer, which is also included in the Spa Package.

#3

Double cleanse

Even if you've cleansed your skin once, it may not be 100% clean. One wash is often not enough to remove all sebum, dead skin, or makeup. A lot of makeup is made to last 12-24 hours. Therefore, we recommend that you always double cleanse to make sure your skin is completely cleansed.

#5

Rinse and dry properly

Always remember to rinse your face thoroughly after using your facial cleanser. It's not good for the skin if cleanser and soap residues
remain overnight.

Then, of course, it's important to dry your face. Be careful not to use the same towel every day, as bacteria can build up in the moist environment. We therefore recommend using a fresh towel or a piece of tissue paper to dry your face.

#6

Use a silk pillow or silk pillowcase

Silk repels moisture and keeps your skin as beautiful as when you went to bed. This also prevents bacteria from building up in the cover, as it is the case with many other types of pillowcases. Therefore, consider getting a silk cover for your pillow.

#7

Drink a (small) glass of water

As mentioned earlier, your skin loses a lot of moisture during the night. Therefore, you should drink water before bedtime to help your skin retain its moisture. Make sure you don't drink too much, otherwise you risk having to go to the toilet during the night.

#8

Ventilate for the night

Chemicals from cleaning, dust, dust mites and more can build up during the day. Protect your skin from poor air quality by airing out at night and you'll wake up with a beautiful glow.

#9

Sleep more (and better)

The longer you sleep, the more time your body and skin have to get ready for a new day, resulting in a more beautiful and vibrant glow. Unfortunately, not all of us achieve the magic 8 hours every day. Here are a few tips you can use to sleep more and get more out of your sleep:

#9

Sleep more (and better)

9.1 Turn off all screens 90 minutes before bedtime. Use this time to read a book or talk to your loved ones.

9.2 Go to bed at the same time every day.

9.3 Remove all electronics from the bedroom.

9.4 Take magnesium supplements about 30 minutes before bedtime. Magnesium contributes to
a better quality of sleep.

#9

Sleep more (and better)

9.5 Use blackout curtains and dim lights in the evening if possible.

9.6 Get sunlight during the day (preferably early). Sunlight helps regulate your natural circadian rhythm.

9.7 Avoid caffeine in the afternoon. Caffeine has a half-life of about 5 hours. For example, if you have a double espresso at 5pm, you will still have caffeine in your blood at 10pm. This is equivalent to having just drunk a normal espresso, which can affect your sleep at night. Therefore, try to only consume caffeine
in the morning.

BONUS TIP: GET THE PROPERTIES OF THE LAVENDER PLANT

The scent of lavender is known for its relaxing effect. Lavender has been proven to lower blood pressure and heart rate, which is optimal for a good night's sleep. Plus, lavender has a great color that you'll appreciate every morning.
