Whether you wear makeup or not, or if you suffer from acne or similar conditions, it's important to remember to cleanse your facial skin before bed. Cleansing helps to: 

Purify pores: When you remove makeup, dead skin and sebum, your facial skin is finally able to breathe. For an effective cleanse with visible results, use MicroDerm once or twice a week.

Remove oil and sebum from the skin: Even if you have dry skin, you will have some natural oil build-up on your skin at the end of the day. We often skip our nighttime routine for the simple reason that we're too tired after a hectic day. We recommend making your skincare a priority, despite traveling or getting home late. Once you know how long your skincare routine lasts, you should incorporate it into your evening routine. If your skincare lasts 10 minutes, turn off the TV and go to bed 10 minutes earlier. Your skin will thank you the next day - and in the long run.


Use the right products

If you've ever wondered why there's a difference between day cream and night cream, it's because the skin is more permeable at night.

Double cleanse

Even if you've cleansed your skin once, it may not be 100% clean. One wash is often not enough to remove all sebum, dead skin, or makeup. A lot of makeup is made to last 12-24 hours. Therefore, we recommend that you always double cleanse to make sure your skin is completely cleansed.


Rinse and dry properly

Always remember to rinse your face thoroughly after using your facial cleanser. It's not good for the skin if cleanser and soap residues
remain overnight.

Then, of course, it's important to dry your face. Be careful not to use the same towel every day, as bacteria can build up in the moist environment. We therefore recommend using a fresh towel or a piece of tissue paper to dry your face. 


Use a silk pillow or silk pillowcase

Drink a (small) glass of water
